Marketing Specialist

Assists in the coordination of all company communications programs.  Assists in the development and distribution of pertinent reports that prove beneficial in supporting marketing programs and management.  Ensures timely generation and summarization of reports as appropriate.  Reviews, edits and writes copy for advertisements, brochures, booklets, and direct mail pieces.  Assist in the  development of annual objectives, programs, and projects which will improve the efficiency of company advertising. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration, or related degree and 0-3 years related work experience.  Prior marketing experience in a Health Care setting preferred.

Oncology Liaison/Referral Development Specialist

Seeking an experienced referral/business development professional to join its marketing team. Candidates must have a proven track record of establishing and maintaining relationships within the healthcare community. Special consideration will be given to applicants with clinical training and a minimum of 3 years of successful medical/surgical/healthcare sales experience in the greater Capital Region. Responsibilities include territory development, ongoing analysis of referral patterns, and facilitating growth in market share. A bachelor’s degree, exceptional communications skills and demonstrated longevity in the workplace are required.

Physicist

Responsibilities will include all aspects of clinical radiation oncology physics including quality assurance, radiation safety, treatment planning, commissioning of new equipment and being a technical resource for physicians and other staff. The ideal candidate will have experience with Varian linacs, IMRT, IGRT, HDR, SRS, SBRT and PSI. Some travel between sites is required. NY State License  and Board certification and 5 years experience is required.

Chemotherapy Auth Spec II: (will float to all sites)

Under general supervision verifies insurance eligibility, benefits, verification, prior authorization and researches denied services to ensure payments are processed on a timely basis, and acts as a liaison to ensure accurate processing of all claims.  Reviews, processes and audits the medial necessity of each patient chemotherapy treatment and documentation of regimen and pathway adherence.  Maintains a good working knowledge of chemotherapy authorization requirements for all payers and state and federal regulatory guidelines for coverage and authorization.  Complies with patient confidentiality laws and regulations.  High school degree or equivalent.  Associates degree in healthcare or LPN state license and registration preferred.  Minimum 2 years medial insurance verification and authorization required.  Billing and coding experience preferred.

Phlebotomist  (Float)

Duties include performing venipuncture, order entry through computer LIS, and specimen processing. Pleasant, responsible, team player, willingness to learn required.  Knowledge of ICD-9, coding and medical necessity a plus.  High School Diploma or equivalent is required, phlebotomy certification a plus. Two to three years of experience desired and basic computer skills required.

Medical Records:

Prepping charts from computer for doctor appointments.  Calling outside facilities for test results.  Gathering pertinent information for doctor visits.  Filing, faxing and other miscellaneous duties.  Provide back up to medical records.  High School Diploma or equivalent is required.  Medical experience/knowledge required. Computer skills required.

Under general supervision, performs technical and analytical duties involved in the collection and reporting of cancer registry data.  Conducts case finding audits and quality control reviews to ensure reliability, completeness and consistency of data.  Prepares statistical reports for management and clinical staff.  High School Diploma, Bachelor’s degree in the Life Sciences preferred.  Minimum one to three years of experience as a cancer/tumor registrar.  Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) preferred.

Telephone Operator

Courteously/efficiently answers all incoming calls, takes/relays messages accurately and timely, responds to emergency and urgent calls from patients in a timely manner directing calls immediately to clinical staff as necessary, performs operator functions including triaging calls, connecting and transferring calls, instructing users on telephone procedures and equipment malfunction to the appropriate party.  Responsible for opening and closing switchboard, performs clerical duties as assigned to maintain workflow in the department (ie: faxes, mail, etc.) Hospital list – completes and scans to charge entry, chart message phone calls using IKM to the clinical staff and physicians, back up for all back area positions.
