Who we are:
Capital District Cancer Resource Foundation is a not-for-profit foundation founded in March 2000 to help provide funds for daily living and support services for Capital District Region residents undergoing cancer treatment.
Why we were founded:
Recognizing an increasing need for patient and family support services, both financially and emotionally, the physicians and staff of New York Oncology Hematology Associates donated their time and talent to establish the Capital District Cancer Resource Foundation. The Foundation provides funding for a variety of support programs and services focusing on improving the patients' physical and emotional needs during treatment. This support helps reduce the stress of maintaining daily routines during treatment and contributes to maintaining dignity and quality of life.
What support services are provided:
Some patients receiving cancer treatment may need help with activities of daily living. They may require financial assistance for support services, transportation, medical services or medication not covered by insurance. This assistance can help lessen the physical and emotional burdens of patients and their families.
Where we get our funds:
Capital District Cancer Resource Foundation receives funds form the following sources:

- Corporations
- Bequests
- Grants
- Community fundraising events

You Can!
Your tax deductible gift helps to fund programs that help ease the burdens that patients and their families experience during cancer treatment. All donations stay in the Capital District Region with 100% of the funds directly supporting patient and family needs.
Our mission statement:
Improve the quality of life for those in the Capital District Region who have cancer through raising, managing and distributing funds to actively support education and public awareness, expand access to services, and provide support to patients' loved ones.
